League Setup

The Hockey Pool Geek is ready to give you the breakdown in your pool. Enter your league details and we'll rank the players so you can get on with winning your pool.

Enter the positions your league uses below. Some leagues treat all forwards the same and just have an F designation. Some differentiate between centres and wingers (C and W), and others have C, LW, and RW.

Because a player's value is tied to the position they play (we won't bore you with too many details), multi-eligibility can make things complicated.

There are basically two kinds of fantasy hockey league: category totals and points.

Category totals leagues: typically roto and roto-style H2H, these leagues give you a score in each statistical category based on how the totals for your roster rank against the rest of your league.  Your overall score is the sum of your score in each category.

Points leagues: sometimes points only, sometimes a custom scoring system or fantasy points H2H (goals = 5 pts, assists = 3, PIM = 0.2, whatever), these leagues adjust the value of each category to a common scale (fantasy points) and add them all together.  Points from one category have exactly the same value as points from another category - it doesn't matter which category they come from... points are points!
